Baseball Recap: Collins Family Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Collins Family can now relate to. They lost 14-0 to the Huntington Park Spartans on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Collins Family saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Gutierrez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

With the defeat, Collins Family broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7. As for Huntington Park, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-15 record.

Collins Family does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Huntington Park, they will face off against WISH Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Owls will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
