While Stuarts Draft had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Rockbridge County came up short against Alleghany on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-12.

Stuarts Draft's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Rockbridge County, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Stuarts Draft couldn't quite get it done against Rockbridge County when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
