 Sadly, Pahokee is still looking for their first win of the season after eight  contests. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  16-1 to the Glades Central Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pahokee of the  17-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in February.
  Cornelious Young was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
 On Glades Central's side,  Eduardo Gomez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks). Gomez was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Christian Reyes was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4.  Bernard Octavius was another key contributor,  going 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 Pahokee's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Glades Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
 Pahokee will head out on the road to  take on  Sheridan Hills Christian at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Glades Central, they will be playing at home against Glades Day at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Glades Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game this season.
