Football Recap: Bridge Creek Comes Up Short

Bridge Creek played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 45-12 loss at the hands of the Kingfisher Yellowjackets. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Although Bridge Creek took the loss, they still got scores from Hunter Eberhardt and Lathan McKnight.

Leading Kingfisher to victory were Kasen Blair and Brett Calamateo. Blair picked up 96 receiving yards and one score, while Calamateo rushed for 58 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. The dominant performance also gave Calamateo a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Bridge Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kingfisher, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Bridge Creek has already played their next matchup, a 39-18 win against Douglass on the 26th. As for Kingfisher, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-0 victory against Pauls Valley on the 26th.
