Softball Game Preview: Hempstead Bobcats vs. Porter Spartans

The Hempstead Bobcats will take on the Porter Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hempstead faced off against Alpha Omega Academy on Saturday. Hempstead came out on top against Alpha Omega Academy by a score of 9-5.

Meanwhile, Porter earned a 5-2 win over Silsbee on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Katelyn Herrera, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she's hit this season. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Rinewalt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Porter's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Hempstead, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
