Amherst Central took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Kenmore East Bulldogs a 7-0 shutout. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amherst Central will venture away from home to take on McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Kenmore East, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Williamsville East at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
