Basketball Recap: Franklin Pierce Cardinals vs. Enumclaw Hornets
The Franklin Pierce Cardinals waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They strolled past Enumclaw with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Franklin Pierce has scored all year.
It was another big night for Javon Barbee, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Franklin Pierce's points. Another player making a difference was Amaar Coleman, who scored ten points along with two blocks.
Franklin Pierce is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Enumclaw, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing White River the next time they take the court. Franklin Pierce will host the Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
