Basketball Recap: Hobbs Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Hobbs's win against Centennial wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Hawks 60-57. The Eagles' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Hobbs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lyric Soria, who posted 17 points. The contest was Soria's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Braddock Beaty, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points.

Hobbs' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hobbs is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Mesa Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centennial, they will square off against Rio Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
