Mount St. Mary faced Broken Arrow in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rockets came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on six straight.
Mount St. Mary was led to victory by Annabel Headrick and Brecken Smiley. Headrick had 16 digs and three assists, while Smiley had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs gave Smiley a new career-high. Sophia Lynch also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Mount St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Broken Arrow, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
