Texas Top 25 high school boys basketball rankings: Duncanville edges Richardson to remain No. 1

Top-ranked Panthers need 18-10 fourth-quarter run to beat previously No. 9 Richardson in overtime last week.

They needed a late run, and then they needed overtime, but the Panthers from Duncanville remained No. 1 in the latest MaxPreps Texas boys Top 25 basketball rankings.
Micah Peavy had 18 points and eight rebounds and
Ja'Bryant Hill added 17 points as the Panthers knocked off then No. 9 Richardson 70-68 last week. Richardson didn't drop much, to No. 10 in this week's rankings.
There was little to no change in the Top 10 as all 10 remained put, including No. 2 Lancaster and No. 3 Guyer. Allen, previously No. 5, moved into the fourth slot, switching spots with John Paul II.
Following the narrow win over Richardson, Duncaville (21-2) had very little trouble, beating Molina (95-21) and Berkner (89-52). The Panthers have won 16 straight.
