Nearly three dozen teams took part in the USA Football/MaxPreps High School Football Media Day hosted by the San Francisco 49ers.
Video: USA Football/MaxPreps High School Football Media DaySee a recap of the event hosted by the San Francisco 49ers.Thirty-three high schools from across Northern California made the trip to Levi's Stadium last month for USA Football/MaxPreps High School Football Media Day hosted by the San Francisco 49ers.
Teams traveled from across Northern California to take part in the festivities, believed to be the first of its kind in the area.
Over a dozen local media members were in attendance as teams where introduced on stage, where players and coaches fielded questions about the upcoming season.
After on-stage sessions, teams headed outside for a demonstration on proper Heads Up Football tackling techniques, as well instruction on proper equipment fitting. Before departing, teams posed for photography sessions with several MaxPreps photographers.
A guest appearance by 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula highlighted the day. Check out a portion of his speech in the video above, and see photos below documenting the day.
