Softball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Comes Up Short

If Holly Grove Christian was riding high fresh off their 29-7 takedown of Salisbury Christian last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Arcadia Firebirds on Wednesday, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Firebirds: they've now lost five in a row.

Holly Grove Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Porter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Porter is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Holly Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Arcadia, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
