Softball Recap: Jackson South Side Hawks vs. McNairy Central Bobcats
Jackson South Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 9-0 walloping at the hands of the McNairy Central Bobcats. Considering the last time Jackson South Side couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
For McNairy Central's part, Bailee Shelton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Shelton was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and three doubles.
