Volleyball Recap: Canton South Comes Up Short

Canton South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-8.

Leah Howard went supernova For Tuscarawas Valley., getting 15 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Howard a new career-high. Abeka Fouts also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Canton South's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Tuscarawas Valley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Canton South has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Washington on the 7th. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hiland on the 8th.
