Basketball Recap: Norfolk's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

If Fremont wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Norfolk, they should've done a better job of containing Bo Caskey. The Norfolk Panthers simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Fremont Tigers 65-36 thanks in part to Caskey, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Norfolk moved to 4-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Fremont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Norfolk will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fremont, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Papillion-LaVista at 5:45 p.m. on February 7th.
