Hoover waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Stanwood Spartans by a score of 60-52. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by exactly eight points.

Stanwood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cole Williams, who posted 13 points along with seven assists and five boards. Jack Edlund was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Stanwood, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
