Basketball Recap: Elliott Watkins Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

With a playoff win on the line, Fallbrook rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They took down the Valhalla Norsemen 82-67.

Fallbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elliott Watkins led the charge by going 13-for-16 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Watkins' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Evan Thomas, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 20 points.

Fallbrook's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Valhalla, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-11.

Looking ahead, Fallbrook will take on Southwest SD at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest SD will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Fallbrook surely won't give up without a fight. Valhalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
