Preview: Udall Eagles vs. Pretty Prairie Bulldogs
The Udall Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Udall is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Udall ended up a good deal behind Norwich and lost 55-36. While losing is never fun, Udall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Norwich is ranked 131st).
Udall's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenson Harness, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Jordan Hornecker who scored 13 points along with three steals. The matchup was Harness' fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Pretty Prairie came up short against Bucklin on Friday and fell 59-46. Pretty Prairie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Udall bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pretty Prairie, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Udall barely slipped by Pretty Prairie in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 45-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Udall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
