Soccer Recap: Tough Loss for Crest

Crest managed to keep up with Burns until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Chargers lost 6-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Crest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Burns are ranked 81st).

Crest has now lost nine of their last 10 games on the road. That leaves them at a 4-9-1 record this season. As for Burns, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crest will square off against South Point at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burns, they will take on Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincolnton's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal (dating back to last season), so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
