Blue Ridge waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Alchesay Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 on March 4th.

Kaden Edgington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on nine hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Matthew Rooney was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Karson Rosenthal, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Blue Ridge pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Alchesay, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-4.
