Baseball Recap: Ruskin Comes Up Short

Ruskin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 42nd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of East. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tyrien Isaac was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Ruskin's loss dropped their record down to 0-28. As for East, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ruskin will take on Belton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East, they will be playing at home against Center at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. East's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
