It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Michaels had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers as they made off with an 18-1 win. Considering the Saints have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Michaels got a massive performance out of Blake Wheatley, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Connor Wheeler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

St. Michaels always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

The victory (which was St. Michaels' fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
