Baseball Recap: Ludlow Panthers vs. Calvary Christian Cougars
Ludlow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Calvary Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 two weeks ago.
Jackson Mays was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season.
Ludlow now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Calvary Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Ludlow didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against Holmes on the 9th. As for Calvary Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
