Volleyball Recap: Detroit Lakes Comes Up Short

Detroit Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Breckenridge Cowboys. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Talyn Anderson paced Detroit Lakes' offense, picking up six kills. Anderson got some help from Ella Ramsey and her 11 assists. Tenley Bement controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Detroit Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Breckenridge, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Detroit Lakes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Park Rapids on the 16th. As for Breckenridge, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Fergus Falls on the 16th.
