Volleyball Recap: Brooks' Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Brooks had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Covenant Christian Eagles 2-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since August 28th.

Brooks' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Goss, who had 19 digs and two assists. Those 19 digs gave Goss a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Fuqua, who had 24 kills.

Brooks' victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Covenant Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Brooks didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Deshler on the 11th. As for Covenant Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Wilson on the 13th.
