Volleyball Recap: Saranac Wins Going Away Against Northern Adirondack

Saranac's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Northern Adirondack Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Northern Adirondack still got an impressive performance from Kendel Chapple, who had 11 digs, six kills, and two aces. Chapple is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Allison LaPoint, who had eight digs and three blocks.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Northern Adirondack, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Saranac and Northern Adirondack could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Spartans will square off against Beekmantown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (210 vs. 28). Meanwhile, Northern Adirondack (ranked 277th) will meet Saranac Lake (ranked 113th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
