Soccer Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Comes Up Short

Saint Ignatius College Prep was the 8-0 winner over Providence Catholic when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolfpack fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Saint Ignatius College Prep have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Saint Ignatius College Prep and nudges their season record down to 10-8-1. As for Providence Catholic, they pushed their record up to 18-0-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Ignatius College Prep will welcome Nazareth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Providence Catholic, they will face off against Hinsdale South at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hinsdale South will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Providence Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
