Volleyball Recap: Monday's Win Is East Valley's Fifth in Last Six Outings

East Valley won the last time they faced Vaughn, and Jeremy Kim did his part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons came out on top against the White Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Monday thanks in part to Kim, who had 17 digs and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times he's played.

While East Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Vaughn scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 15-25, 26-24.

Vaughn's loss came despite strong showings from Adam Santellano and Mateo Rivas. Santellano had 37 assists, while Rivas had five kills and five digs.

East Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Vaughn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

East Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Sherman Oaks CES on the 10th. As for Vaughn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Fulton on the 9th.
