Baseball Game Preview: Brockway Rovers vs. North Clarion Wolves

The Brockway Rovers will venture away from home to challenge the North Clarion Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Brockway and 12 for North Clarion dating back to last season.

Brockway came up short against Elk County Catholic on Wednesday, falling 12-2.

Brockway saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Mckinley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Eric Decker also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for North Clarion's offense. They lost 17-0 to Karns City on Wednesday.

Brockway's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Clarion, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brockway has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North Clarion struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
