Mildred waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Penelope Wolverines a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Mildred is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Penelope, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mildred will head out to square off against Wortham at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wortham's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Penelope, they will head out on the road to challenge Oakwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
