Grace Christian took a 18-run loss the last time they faced off against Anacoco, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Indians on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won six games in a row.

Rylee Guillot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Grace Christian's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Wynnlee Vincent, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Anacoco, with the defeat, they broke their 14-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-4.

Coming up, Grace Christian will face off against Logansport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anacoco, they will square off against Pine Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
