Softball Recap: Longview Comes Up Short

Longview came up into this matchup off a tough nine-run loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Grand Saline Indians by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lobos have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Longview's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Grand Saline, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Longview will be playing in front of their home fans against Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henderson's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Longview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
