Fairmont Senior had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Grafton on Saturday. Fairmont Senior put the hurt on Grafton with a sharp 19-2 win. The Polar Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Matt Masters was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bigelow Trevor was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Logan Canfield was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Fairmont Senior always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grafton only posted an OBP of .250.
