Volleyball Recap: Sturgeon Bay Takes a Loss

Sturgeon Bay's tournament run continued when they took on Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Saturday. The Clippers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers.

Miya Nell paced Sturgeon Bay's offense, picking up six kills. Nell got some help from Regan Kasten and her 12 assists. Kasten also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sofia Carmody, each putting up two.

Sturgeon Bay has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 7-23 record this season. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 17-9.

Coming up, Sturgeon Bay will host Southern Door at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hilbert on the 4th.
