Baseball Recap: South Eugene Comes Up Short

South Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Medford Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Saturday.

South Eugene saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Bush, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Bryce Roberts also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for South Medford, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Eugene is set to square off against their familiar foe North Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Medford will take on rival Grants Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Cavemen a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
