Volleyball Recap: Atchison Takes a Loss

Atchison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Maryville Spoofhounds, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Phoenix have suffered since September 4th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-12.

Maryville was led to victory by Mylee Eighmy and Evelyn Branner. Eighmy had 13 assists and three digs, while Branner had ten digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Branner a new career-high.

Atchison's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-4. As for Maryville, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Atchison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Wyandotte on the 16th. As for Maryville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Excelsior Springs on the 16th.
