Preview: Mountain Valley vs. Madison/Carrabec
Mountain Valley is six games into its season, but it hasn't met anyone harder than the team challenging it next. It squares off against Madison/Carrabec this Friday at 7:00 PM. Madison/Carrabec's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Mountain Valley defense that got ten sacks against Old Orchard Beach in its previous game.
Mountain Valley didn't have too much trouble with Old Orchard Beach in its last game, where Mountain Valley won 22 - 6. Sophomore Dylan Desroches was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he earned two touchdowns and 220 yards rushing the ball). Meanwhile, Madison/Carrabec scooted by Oak Hill last week with a score of 28 - 13.
Their wins bumped Madison/Carrabec to 5-1 and Mountain Valley to 4-2. We'll find out on Friday which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when Madison/Carrabec and Mountain Valley clash.
