Basketball Recap: LEE Find Success

If SA Roosevelt wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played LEE, they should've done a better job of containing Rosanelly Pastrano. The LEE Volunteers blew past the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders 59-36 on Tuesday thanks in part to Pastrano, who went 8 of 18 en route to 26 points along with six steals and five boards. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of LEE's points.

AUDREY VILLARREAL was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Several Rough Riders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyriana Robinson, who posted nine points. That's the most points Robinson has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taaliah Miller, who scored two points and ten boards.

LEE's record is now 21-11. As for SA Roosevelt, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.

LEE will be playing at home against Reagan at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for SA Roosevelt, they will take on Churchill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Churchill has 13 straight victories, SA Roosevelt has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
