Volleyball Recap: Staunton River Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a Battle of the Birds when Staunton River faced off against Franklin County on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Franklin County was led to victory by Paige Altizer and Skye Carter. Altizer had 18 digs, while Carter had nine digs and four aces. That's the most digs Altizer has posted since September 2nd.

This is the second loss in a row for Staunton River and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Franklin County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Staunton River has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Northside on the 2nd. As for Franklin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against William Byrd on the 2nd.
