Basketball Game Preview: Carolina Academy Trojans vs. Southside Christian Sabres

Carolina Academy is 0-3 against Southside Christian since December of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Carolina Academy Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Southside Christian Sabres at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Carolina Academy is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 21st straight game on Tuesday. The game between them and St. Joseph's Catholic didn't end well, with Carolina Academy falling 47-28. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Knights are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, Southside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt an 85-50 loss at the hands of Powdersville.

Carolina Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Southside Christian, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Carolina Academy came up short against Southside Christian in their previous matchup back in January, falling 48-36. Can Carolina Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
