Basketball Recap: Armorel Comes Up Short

Armorel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Earle Bulldogs 96-40. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 71st).

Armorel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Earle, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Armorel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ridgefield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Earle, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Hillcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Earle's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hillcrest has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
