Baseball Recap: Oaks Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Oaks Christian got themselves on the board against Thousand Oaks on Tuesday, but Thousand Oaks never followed suit. They blew past the Lancers 10-0. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

Oaks Christian got a great performance from Ty Hanley as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Hanley a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Sheffer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Puls, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Oaks Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thousand Oaks only posted an OBP of .222.

Oaks Christian's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Thousand Oaks, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-5.

Oaks Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
