Volleyball Recap: Hermantown Comes Up Short

If Hermantown was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since August 28th.

Hermantown now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Grand Rapids, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Hermantown will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cloquet at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Grand Rapids has already played their next match (against Greenway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
