Basketball Game Recap: Tipton Cardinals vs. New Bloomfield Wildcats

New Bloomfield came into Friday's game looking for another win against Tipton, but Dane Schlotzhauer wouldn't allow it. The Tipton Cardinals managed a 67-61 win over the New Bloomfield Wildcats on Friday thanks in part to Schlotzhauer, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 23 points. He is becoming a predictor of Tipton's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 3-1 (and 4-13 when he doesn't).

Tipton's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-14. As for New Bloomfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
