Baseball Recap: Brattleboro Victorious

Brattleboro won the last time they faced Green Mountain and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bears came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 7-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Jayke Glidden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sam Bogart was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Sean Cozza was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Brattleboro now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Green Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brattleboro will welcome Keene at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears are facing the Blackbirds at the right time seeing as the Blackbirds are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Green Mountain, they will be playing at home against Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cosmos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.33 runs per game on average), something the Chieftains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
