Softball Recap: Sauk Centre Takes a Loss

Sauk Centre lost against Albany back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mainstreeters took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

Jayden Lahr made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Sauk Centre has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Albany, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sauk Centre will face off against Montevideo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mainstreeters are facing the Thunderhawks at the right time seeing as the Thunderhawks are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Albany, they will be playing at home against Pequot Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
