Basketball Recap: South Range Snags 12th Victory in Last 14 Games

After losing to Howland the last time they met, South Range decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The South Range Raiders took down the Howland Tigers 52-38 on Tuesday.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Steven Bubon, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Darren Douglas, who scored ten points.

South Range is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Howland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Coming up, South Range will face off against Salem at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Howland, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-43 defeat against Chaney on the 12th.
