Football Recap: Miami Trace Takes a Loss

If Miami Trace was feeling good fresh off their 41-20 takedown of McClain last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a hard 41-27 fall against the Jackson Ironman/Ironladies on Friday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Ironman/Ironladies from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Miami Trace lost, don't look at Julian Baker. Despite the final result, he rushed for 191 yards and three scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Baker's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Miami Trace's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Jackson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami Trace will face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson, they will challenge Chillicothe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ironman/Ironladies will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
