Basketball Recap: High Point Central Takes a Loss

High Point Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 47th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Southern Guilford Storm 71-32. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Storm this season, with their most recent defeat being a 53-8 loss back in January.

Courtney Griffith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southern Guilford, going 8-for-11 to rack up 24 points. Griffith is becoming a predictor of Southern Guilford's success: when she posts at least 20 points the team is undefeated (and 4-17 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Danielle Walker, who posted 12 points.

High Point Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Southern Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 7-17.

As of now, neither High Point Central nor Southern Guilford have any future games scheduled.
