Baseball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was the 5-4 winner over Springport when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Tuesday.

Dustin Hamilton was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Concord has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Springport, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Concord will face off against Colon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Springport, they will take on Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
